Jonathan, 14 years old, has always shown enthusiasm for music. Nonetheless, he surprised his parents when he asked for a violin for his fourth birthday. It was a few months before his request was granted, but he has been playing and loving it ever since.
Long before his violin skills were performance ready, he wowed audiences with his voice. He began singing the National Anthem and Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” at local events when he was just 5 years old and has since sang the National Anthem for events such as the Laughlin River Stampede Rodeo, The American Royal Rodeo in Kansas City and at Kauffman Stadium for Kansans city Royals baseball games.
Jonathan was one of five winners, out of 18,000 contestants, in a nationwide jingle singing contest in 2006.
Not only does Jonathan sing, write songs and play the violin, but he also plays soccer and lettered in wrestling his freshman year. There really isn’t anything Jonathan doesn’t like to do, and when he starts something, watch out he’s giving it 110%.
